German the Heart was a long-time member of Wrath of Thor and the Eikthyrnir-type Pomokai Holoholona who gave Akko, Lotte, and Sucy their Valkyrie Armors in Little Witch Academia: Witches of Midgard.
Personality & Character[]
As with his fellow Wrath of Thor members, the young German lost his family during Naglfar's violent campaign against Hoddmimi's Holt and Thapoli in ensuring Jötnar's dominion over Nine Realms. Although the conflict affected him like his peers as much as it inspired them to unite their people against their common adversary and subsequently founded Sword of Laeradr, German remained positive and upbeat, always did his best to brighten up the mood of hardened band such as theirs alongside Fjolnir and being the one who mostly acted as the group's mediator, thus cementing his moniker and role as Wrath of Thor's moral center. Though this disposition of his annoyed his more jaded peers, German was actually very perceptive and bold, and would turn serious and properly got the work done when the situation demanded it.
Like his former comrade Ulf, German firmly opposed the idea of aggression being the best and only way to settle dispute, believing it meant to be the last resort should the more peaceful options failed and therefore willing to grant mercy to the enemy who surrendered and no longer pose a threat. Alongside Harr and Jalk, German approved Asger's unexpected decision to adopt Lara despite of her being the member of Gray Wolf Clan, the very magical clan that responsible for nearly destroyed their people during the war, and assisting him in raising her whenever he could before their decade of happy life ended with a tragedy.
German proved to be a good judge of character as noted by the latest Valkyrie of Dawn Alvilda Leafmane and proven through his wise decision in entrusting Akko, Lotte, and Sucy the task to bring three Valkyrie Armors Kara, Geirskogul, and Skogul to Ursula in his last moments knowing they would succeed in carrying out such important endeavor on his behalf despite of them just met and only knew the three friends through their reputation. He was eventually killed by The Fist, but his sacrifice was not in vain as it inspired Akko to take the mantle of Kara the Blazing Flame Valkyrie and subsequently reformed Nine New Witches to combat Naglfar threat.

- Eikthyrnir-type Pomokai Holoholona Physiology: German is an Eikthyrnir-type Pomokai Holoholona and therefore possesses traits of both plant life and deer.
- Antlers: Like regular stag, German possesses a pair of antlers on his head which he can use to ram things with.
- Supernatural Speed and Agility: Like other Eikthyrnir-type Pomokai Holoholonas, German is very fast and agile like regular deer albeit at greater scale, able to quickly gallop his way out of danger or towards the enemy on ease.
- Supernatural Senses: Like other Eikthyrnir-type Pomokai Holoholonas, German displays acute senses like regular deer albeit at greater scale.
- Night Vision: Like regular deers and Eikthyrnir-type Pomokai Holoholonas, German can see well in the dark.
- Foresight: Like other Eikthyrnir-type Pomokai Holoholonas, German can see a person's next moves and intent by locking eyes, even to the point of being able to read another person's mind and thoughts, a trait Alvilda herself acknowledged. In fact, this is how he able to tell that Akko is not just trustworthy enough to help him bringing Valkyrie Gauntlets he delivered to Ursula during his final mission, but also correctly deduces that she's more than worthy to be the new Kara.
- Environmental Adaptation: Like other Eikthyrnir-type Pomokai Holoholonas, German can both survive and adapt to any environment and/or condition.
- Supernatural Strength: German is capable of great feats of strength, able to break through bones and bending sturdy metal items with his tails and overpower multiple Farbjodar on ease, though he can still be overwhelmed.
- Supernatural Durability: German's plant-like bodily tissues are substantially harder and more resistant to damage than those of regular deer, able to take a lot of punishments before his body eventually wears out.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: In addition of extremely durable, German's plant-like bodily tissues can immediately heal sustained injuries as well as regrow lost limbs in a few hours in addition of reattaching them. This does not guarantee an injury will not scar however, as he retains the scar on his left front leg from the war.
- Longevity: Thanks to his healing factor and plant-like physiology, German ages at a rate that is much slower than that of ordinary deer.
- Tails: German possesses three robust whip-like tails that, in addition of maintaining the balance when running at high speeds, can be used to lash and grab his enemies with.
- Tendril Generation: The tails can also temporarily grow tendrils to better interact and manipulate things like hands and bind a target's movement.
- Photosynthesis: By growing leaves on his tails, German can perform photosynthesis both as alternate means to gain sustenance and hasten his regeneration, a feat that is only possible during the day and not in the middle of the winter. He is rendered immobile while performing this however.
- Balai Repulsors: German possesses a pair of hollowed protrusions on his hip which can generate streams of magic to propel himself forward as well as provide limited flight.
- Black Mote Generation: German can also generate black dust-like motes from his Balai Repulsors that, in addition of fertilizing light spores into pods from which new Pomokai Holoholonas can grow, can be used as harmless yet effective smokescreen that can obscure both normal vision and heat vision.
- Elasticity and Lack of Skeletal Frame: Being part-plant, German lacks a skeletal structure found in regular deer and therefore able to extend any part of his body to make himself longer.
- Genesis Spawning: After German died so Akko and her roommates could bring three Valkyrie Bracelets he carried to Ursula on his behalf and kept them from Naglfar's reach, his body grew into a beautiful canopy of trees that protect a pair of identical pods which Harr sent to Hoddmimi's Holt to be raised by his associates there.
- Magic: Since he is technically a sentient form of Yggdrasil's magic as with his brethren, German possesses tremendous magical abilities and even generate magic energy itself, which also his very life-force. For the same reason, his body will manifest a beautiful canopy of trees upon his death as opposed of deceased witch or wizard who manifest a single tree over his/her grave.
- Magic Energy Manipulation: In the same vein with witches and wizards, German can manipulate magic energy to perform various feats such as projecting beams and/or blasts, illuminating his surroundings, simulating telekinetic force as a form of object control magic, and generating solid constructs out of the energy's tangible form.
- Ley Line Detection: Like other Pomokai Holoholonas, German can detect the presence of Ley Lines in his surroundings.
- Walking Woods Spell: By reciting the spell, "With the blessing of Njord entrusted to us, arise my walking woods and smash our enemies with your trunks and boughs", German can animate several trees to attack the enemies as the form of combat assistance. Because of the spell greatly taxes his magic reserves, he can only use it sparingly and while in good shape, thus explained why he didn't use it to improve his odds during his last mission.
- Master Combatant: German has spent much of his youth as one of Wrath of Thor's most formidable warriors, and therefore capable of decimating dozens of Farbjodar at once. He displayed great proficiency in using his signature tail blade to either slash his opponent or deflecting incoming projectiles back to their sender.
Tools & Equipment[]
- Lancer Armor: German's signature blue and golden Raider Armor, which consisted of a chamfron (face plate), manefaire (armor plating to protect the nape), caparison (durable cloth) over Construct Ribbon that wrapped about the torso, croupiere (armor plate that cover the rear and base of the tails), and greaves on the front limbs. In addition of protection against attacks, German dons the Armor to enhance his combat abilities further.
- Lancer Shields: The armor comes with twin round shields each attached on the sides of his croupier. In addition of for defense, the shields can be thrown against the opponent or transform into a powerful lance that can drill through fortified walls on ease.
- Thunder Atgeir: German's signature weapon in form of a blue and golden curved blade not unlike that of atgeir whose edge glows in emerald upon being charged with his fuel spirit. The weapon was fashioned from metal imbued with the power of Hagalaz (ᚺ) rune hence explaining its affinity with elements of wind and lightning and strapped onto his middle tail with Construct Ribbon while being used.
- Bottomless Bags: A pair of bags attached on his saddle which enchanted so it can carry more items than its interior space suggested in the same vein with bottomless pouch that came with Valkyrie Corps.' Skirmisher Robe.
- Construct Ribbon: German carries a number of spools of this ribbon so he could maintenance his armor and Tail Glaive on the field.

Creation & Conception[]
Shortly after conceiving Pomokai Holoholonas and Witches of Midgard-verse where it would be the sequel to TV Series as opposed to fan remake, BSoulstone conceived German as a minor yet pivotal character who gave Akko, Lotte, and Sucy their Valkyrie Armors and gave his life to ensure their safety as the three friends were forced to flee when Naglfar's farbjodar horde (which at that time referred as Apollyons) attempted to get the bracelets for themselves. The scenario itself, including Akko attempting to treat German's wounds only to be stopped, was inspired by the origin story of titular group in K.A. Applegate's science fantasy novel series Animorphs as shown in its first book #1. The Invasion; in the book, the five main characters, Jake, Rachel, Cassie, Marco, and Tobias stumbled upon the dying Andalite Elfangor who bestowed them the ability to morph into animals which DNA they have acquired via. touch, and forced to flee when book's main antagonist, Esplin 9466 aka. Visser Three, the Yeerk who infested another Andalite named Alloran, killed him in cold blood by devouring him alive via. Alloran's Antarean Bogg morph.
It was originally intended that the one who killed German being German's killer would be Erik the Ageless, but BSoulstone eventually change it to Colborn aka. The Fist whose working name in turn, being The Trench.
Lastly, during the development, German was originally not wearing his Raider Armor as he didn't expect Farbjodr ambush and BSoulstone originally unsure how it best looked like. After some painstaking research on the internet, he eventually based Lancer Armor on armor historically worn by horses during medieval to renaissance era known as barding in design, with its name referring to The Lancer, TV Tropes.org's designation for main character's foil and closest sidekick, and its shields' lance-like configuration.

- Alongside Jalk the Strong, he approved Asger's decision to adopt Lara to make up the guilt from slaughtering her entire family and clan.
